Practicing Iconography and Graphics Software
Because part of being a good designer is having strength in visuals, I wanted to practice creating elements with Illustrator and Inkscape. I found an interesting technique that is used to create vector graphics from photos and wanted to try my hand at it.
Then, I saw my sister complaining that there are no good bird emojis (she was working at at nature center at the time), so I figured I could apply the same technique with similar effects.
In an early iteration of my portfolio, I wanted to have visual representations of what my UX skills were, and so I built a set in Illustrator. The goal was to create icons that could convey the concept of the skill in greyscale.
